Gained BSc and Phd in Biochemistry from University College Cardiff (University of Wales). Worked as a Post Doctoral Research Fellow at Cancer Research Institute in London for Medical Research Council. Looked at the anti-estrogen receptor blockers especially Tomxifen in breast cancer. Following this spent three years as a Post Doctoral Research Fellow at University College London doing research and supervising MSc and Phd students. In 1983 went to study medicine at Kings College London and completed clinical studies at University of Cambridge. After various hospital jobs specialised in General Practice (GP) and has been working as a General Practitoner in the NHS providing complementary therapies especially homeopathy as well as Accupunture and Chinese Medicine. Recently completed a course in CEASE Therapy in Lambourn UK.
